New Sleeper Virus

A new sleeper virus that could allow hackers to steal financial and personal information has now spread to more than eight million computers in what industry analysts say is one of the most serious infections they have ever seen.

LAUSD has licensed Norton Anti-Virus Corporate edition for use on District computers. To install this software on your District computer, choose your Operating System version from the list below:

Windows OS - Symantec Endpoint Protection anti-virus software is available for use on Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system. However, the Information Technology Department has not officially approved Windows Vista for use on the District's network. Any problems resulting from the use of Symantec Endpoint Protection anti-virus on Windows Vista is not supported by the Information Technology Division.

Microsoft Windows 2000/XP - Automatic Installation. (If your computer has a version of NAV prior to 8.0, that version must be removed prior to installing this version. Newer versions will be uninstalled during the installation process.)
